Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta ahead of the new season.
The Gunners have improved each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market under him.
In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.
In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.
The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.
We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.
As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

Merino wants Arsenal move
Mikel Merino is open to a move to Arsenal.
Real Sociedad are desperate to keep both Merino and his team-mate Martin Zubimendi, with the latter recently turning down a move to Liverpool.
Merino is in a slightly different situation in that he has less than 12 months left on his contract so would be available for a lower fee of around £25 million. (Telegraph)

Arsenal told to sign Merino
Former Arsenal star Lauren wants the club to sign Mikel Merino, telling MyBettingSites.co.uk:
"Nowadays in football, £25 million for a player like Mikel Merino, as per today's market, is great business. Of course it's a lot of money but for a player like Merino, who's been absolutely brilliant. I analyse La Liga and he's an outstanding player. He's not only the typical holding midfield player, he drops to receive the ball, gets into position from where he can score goals."

Arsenal not in Osimhen race
Arsenal are not in the race to sign Victor Osimhen.
The Napoli striker looks poised to leave Serie A this summer, though no club has been willing to meet the Italian side's big demands as of yet. Chelsea remain in negotiations over the player and hope to strike a deal that would see Romelu Lukaku move in the other direction, but Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal aren't involved.
“Finally on Chelsea, there is still no major update or change to the Victor Osimhen situation," he said. "They never left the race, but Osimhen still insists on a permanent transfer and he won’t lower his salary demands. I’m also not aware of any negotiation ongoing right now with other clubs, despite some reports in Italy mentioning Arsenal."

Garcia still an option
Should Aaron Ramsdale leave Arsenal this summer, the club will pursue Joan Garcia of Espanyol.
The Gunners are open to a Ramsdale departure after the England international became the number two at the club behind David Raya. Arsenal's preference is that Ramsdale leave on a permanent deal so funds can be raised for player acquisitions, but the latest offer - a loan deal from Ajax - has been rejected. (Mail)
