More from Arteta
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has also highlighted new arrival Riccardo Calafiori's talents.
Discussing the Italian defender, he told Sky Sports: "I fell in love with him, I watched him a year ago. I saw something different - an aura, a charisma, a presence that was not only related to his skill.
"We started to follow him & we saw a player - he was 21 at the time - that was doing things & reacting to things in a way a 21-year-old normally doesn’t. He had a really difficult past as well, a difficult knee injury, the way he reacted to that.
"When I met him, I said, ‘For sure’. He was so convinced, he only wanted to come to Arsenal, he only wanted to play for us, so I’m really happy to have him!"

Arteta told Sky Sports: "He’s an unbelievable player that has already earned the respect & admiration of all of us without playing, that’s an unbelievable thing to do after only one season.
"We’re all desperate to have him on that pitch. His leadership, his skills, his composure, the way he competes, his intelligence - I think he’s going to bring so much to the team."

Mikel Merino advice
Arsenal legend Lauren urged his former club to go full on for Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino.
The Invincible toldMyBettingSites.co.uk:
Absolutely. Nowadays in football, £25million for a player like Mikel Merino, as per today's market, is great business. Of course it's a lot of money but for a player like Merino, who's been absolutely brilliant.
I analyse La Liga and he's an outstanding player. He's not only the typical holding midfield player, he drops to receive the ball, gets into position from where he can score goals.
We saw that in the Copa del Rey against Mallorca, in the Euros where he attacked spaces inside the box. He never loses the ball and he will give a lot if Arsenal go for him. He's a quality player.

Ivan Toney tip
Manchester United and Tottenham legend Teddy Sheringham suggested Arsenal could finally win the Premier League title if they signed Brentford star Ivan Toney.
Sheringham told onlinepoker.ltd:
For me, I still think they need a centre forward who can finish things off. A player like Ivan Toney would be a massive addition for Arsenal and I think if they signed him, they would be even stronger title contenders.
If they had a player like Toney, who is something a bit different to what they have, a big presence who can lead the line, then Arsenal would be the finished article. I'm very surprised that they're going for more defenders and not signing a striker.
I like Gabriel Jesus, I think he's a very good player, but he's not going to score you 25 goals a season, which is what you need if you want to win a title. Arsenal need a number nine if they are going to go the distance in the title race.

Set the Tone
Manchester United and Chelsea are considering a swoop for Brentford star Ivan Toney, who was also linked with Arsenal.
The Gunners,Tottenham,West Ham,the Blues andUnitedare among the clubs that have already expressed an interest but they have all been put off by Toney’s £60million price tag.
According toThe Independent, the Red Devils and Chelsea could suggest a loan deal with an obligation to buy late in the window.
The striker’s contract with the Bees is set to expire next summer and he currently has no willingness to extend.
Therefore, Brentford will have to sell the England international within the next few weeks or in January if they want to earn any money for him.
A loan-to-buy deal would be a way for Thomas Frank’s side to earn a fee close to their valuation and allow potential Premier League suitors to comply with PSR rules.
