Sensational Stir-Fry: Duck Fried Rice John Hoffman, DUAsian-inspired recipes work well with waterfowl breast fillets. Sliced thin or diced, the fillets can be included in just about any stir-fry recipe. Have all of your ingredients sliced, diced, and on deck before firing up the wok, skillet, or flat-top grill. It only takes a few minutes to brown the meat, stir-fry the vegetables, and then add the sauce ingredients. If your guests are reluctant to give wild game a try, perhaps don’t tell them it’s duck until after their plates are clean.Duck Fried RiceThis recipe makes a great side dish. It can also be used as the base for a main course—just top it with stir-fried broccoli, snow peas, shredded carrots, soy sauce, and perhaps a fried egg. Ducks Unlimited takes a continental, landscape approach to wetland conservation. Since 1937, DU and sister organizations Ducks Unlimited Canada and Ducks Unlimited Mexico have conserved more than 15.5 million acres of habitat across North America. Hunting opportunities on DU projects in the U.S. are determined by the landowner or manager. Many projects are located on state or federal lands that are open to public hunting, but some are designated as waterfowl sanctuaries by public agencies and thus are closed to hunting. Permission to hunt on privately owned project sites must be obtained from the respective landowner. Information about hunting opportunities on properties owned by Ducks Unlimited Canada may be obtained from their website (www.ducks.ca).
